Moving
Wrap each fragile item individually before boxing. One layer of bubble wrap is sufficient for most household items. For irreplaceable pieces, use two layers and secure with clear tape. Pair with newsprint for crockery – newsprint between pieces, bubble wrap as the outer layer.
Tip: Always wrap plates individually and place them upright in the box like records – never stacked flat.
Storage
Items going into a self-storage unit need protection from accidental knocks and vibration over weeks or months. Bubble wrap keeps paintings, mirrors, and electronics safe during long-term storage. It is fully reusable – fold and store it between uses.
Tip: Do not seal bubble-wrapped items in airtight plastic for long-term storage – moisture can build up. Add silica gel sachets inside sealed boxes instead.
